Sahara Desert Tours from Tunis

Tunis is the most common starting point for a Tunisian Sahara adventure. While the desert is a few hours south, a well-planned 3-day tour turns the journey itself into a highlight — Kairouan, Tozeur, Star Wars country and a night in the dunes.
How Far Is the Sahara from Tunis?
The Tunisian Sahara lies about 530 km south of Tunis — roughly 6 hours by road. Because of the distance, the desert is best experienced as a 2 or 3-day tour rather than a day trip, with overnight stays that let you see sunrise and sunset over the dunes.
The Classic 3-Day Sahara Tour from Tunis
